Sheppard’s Pie

For the second week of my Senior Project I decided to make a Shepard’s Pie

To start off you need three large carrots finely diced, that is if you want to follow the recipe personally my self I did not want that many carrots in it so I just did one.

Than once you have them diced up yo put some olive oil into a pan and begin to saute the carrots.

Than after you chop up an onion you throw that onto of the carrots to saute the onions to.

While the onion and carrots are sauteing you should begin to boil the potatoes so you can mash them.

Now while the potatoes are boiling add the beef to the pan you were sauteing the carrots in.

Than before you add the beef make sure you drain the fat and than add the peas.

Once your done with that add two table spoons of tomato paste

Than after you have the meat and everything cooked you than add two table spoons of Worcestershire sauce.

Than you add one cup of chicken stock

Than you add 1 cup of red wine.

Than you should sprinkle a little bit of flour into it

This is what the beef and everything with your homemade gravy should look like.

Now that the potatoes are boiled they can be mashed.

Now butter up the pan so nothing gets stuck to it.

Than make your pie.

You can add mozzarella or Parmesan cheese if you want to top it off.

than cook in the oven at 400 for 20 minutes.

Than eat up.
